Actually it looks like she will borrow a dress from one of her friends. I thought maybe we would do a "day dress" for her but we got the date of the dance and it is too soon. And Grandma wants to do the ball dress for the winter dance so I am in the clear! Except for buying the fabric that is.
Amy, can you imagine all those endless straight seams on all that white fabric? zzzzzzzzzzzz
I payed $30 for it. And blessed the day. Considering the pattern I looked at called for 7 yards of fabric and all the hoop material she certainly isn't getting rich.
I'm a wife to one and a homeschooling mom of 9 (so far.) We are a Reformed Christian family, doing our God given best to "glorify God and enjoy Him forever".

Wow! I would hate to make that too. Bet she feels like a princess and can't wait for her dress.
How fun! I remember the first time I wore a hoop skirt. I felt so.....naked underneath! All that space was a little disconcerting at first. :-)
How fun! My little E would love that, but I'd never get around to sewing the dress for it! Have fun!
